hard drive space desappearing on slave hdd

Hi guys I need some help I have a 2 Tb hdd in slave but this last few days the space on it is just disappearing but if i look at the files property's on the hdd its just 1.2 Tb. I only have 79 GB left. Please help me I don't know what to do.

System restore can take up space and the recycle bin if you don't empty it.

hi thanks for the come back. The thing is my recycle bin is always empty and I backup every week and the backup space is included in the 1.2 tb that is used of the files

A screen shot of your expanded disk management screen would help. There may be hidden partitions?

Hi I have attach two screenshots the one is the space thats my hard drive says is used and what my files is using and the second one is where I used tree size to find the file that is the problem and it found a system volume info and as you can se is that it takes a lot of space.

so i just did a fresh install on a brand new hard drive. formatted and everything. now i have my old hard drive that I would like to transfer the files over from. but for some reason when it's hooked up and set to slave windows asks me for a boot disk. any suggestions?
