CCleaner just ticks me off sometimes.

Every time I run CCleaner everything in My Computer goes blank. No text on all the drives, folders, etc. Heck, I had trouble trying to get a dialog box open to get the screenshot posted below:

Like how the heck am I supposed to see the remaining free space on my C: drive? Where is "C:" drive? What's in my DVD Writer drive? What's plugged into my USB connector?

Does it come back after a reboot? What options are you using in Ccleaner?

It will come back, but I have to restart Explorer.

I've been using CCEnhancer alongside with CCleaner and it gets rid of more junk. Unfortunately if you delete the wrong set of files or delete too much it WILL break your system.

I used CCleaner one time to clean with and it did a number on my computer. I may not have had options set right but I don't know what I'm doing with it I guess. I use the registry cleaner part of it with no problems. :)

CCleaner used with necessary care and foreknowledge will cause no problems. I always check what registry keys it intends to remove, and choose what exactly it should and should not remove of the crum. It has never failed me. I don't use it too often, maybe once in three months.

I would definitely not use an ''enhancer'' and then top it all off by blaming CCleaner in the thread title. Sir, you charged an innocent application with a heinous crime, while allowing the real cuplrit to smirk snarkily from the gallery!

Ccleaner is usually safe. I do not recommend adding things to it, or checking things if you do not know what you are doing.
Did you run the registry cleaner too?
What settings are you checking in ccleaner? Something else might be wrong with your system.
You could just stop using ccleaner.

Always worked fine for me and everyone else PC I have used it on, but that doesn't mean it is perfectly safe.

I just happen to go through the same thing using the CCEnhancer so I just stop using it and went back to the default settings on Ccleaner. Ccleaner is considered quite safe unless you start messing around with all the options which I don't recommend unless you are VERY SURE what you are doing.
