pc start up slowly and freeze

Hi, all
Thank you in advance.
my pc is 4 years old. recently it starts up slowly. and when i visit sites, it always freezes. i had done everything i can to speed it up. seems none of them worked.
PS: i defragged my disks, cleaned the caches and cookies, killed the unnecessary apps running background

Please help!

Have you tried any of these? We have many fine tutorials here at the forums, written by some very capable people. Just click on the link. I would run a complete malware/virus scan first though.
