    Need suggestions about upgrading netbook

    Here are my netbook specifications:

    AMD E-450 APU with Radeon HD Graphics ~1.6GHz
    2GB RAM
    AMD Radeon HD 6320 Graphics Display

    I am playing a game which takes 400MB - 500MB of Memory and I run 2 to 3 mostly (Running 1 will give me 1MB to 50MB free Memory). It will empty my free memory and max out the CPU.

    Which should i upgrade to achieve a considerably high performance gain? CPU or RAM? or anything else?

    Opinion: Get a new, better Netbook.

    About the only thing that is even possible to upgrade in a netbook is the memory and the disk drive. You could try bumping up the RAM and you could try a 7200 disk drive or even an ssd but it's doubtful either of those upgrades would improve the situation causing the cpu to be maxed out.

    Most netbooks just don't have the pony power for gaming. For the same price or little more, you could get a notebook or small laptop that will give you more bang for your buck.

    You suggested me an option which I do not desire, first of all I knew the best thing is to get a PC but I asked how to fully customize or optimize a NETBOOK.

    I will look forward onto these upgrades. I would like to know if a 16GB RAM would still be compatible to a notebook, because I saw posts about RAM compatibilities.

    No, you asked: Which should i upgrade to achieve a considerably high performance gain

    There is none, which is why I recommended getting a newer, better system.

    @Strollin: Samsung NP305U1A

    @Ztruker: UPGRADE is what I said, and as far is i have known, getting a higher RAM will be a performance gain. Please reconsider

    Upgrading your RAM to 4GB will give you some performance gain only if you overload the system, forcing it into virtual memory. Any more than 4 GB would be wasted on your old machine. You would get more for your money by getting an SSD to put your OS on. As long as it is a high quality, recent model SSD, you probably can transfer it to a newer machine someday, something you are unlikely to be able to do with RAM.

    According to the Memory adviser at Computer memory upgrades for Samsung NP305U1A Laptop/Notebook from Crucial.com your netbook can be upgraded to 8GB of RAM. It apparently has only one RAM slot so you would need to remove the 4GB stick and replace it with an 8GB stick.
