How can I avoid my PC hibernating after sleeping for five minutes?
My desktop PC (Windows 8 and Windows 7 in dual boot) goes into hibernation after a few minutes sleep. The same happens with both operating systems. I'd rather it didn't go into hibernation, but remain in sleep mode. I see no option to change this in Power Options > Change Advanced power settings because I've disabled hibernation (so theres's option "hibernate after" in Power Options > settings).
In fact I've tried enabling hibernation again (by typing powercfg -h on in CMD) and then I can see Hibernate after. But I prefer to have hibernation disabled because otherwise I can't put the PC to sleep with an icon and keyboard shortcut I've created (if I don't disable hibernation the PC hibernates instead of going to sleep).
In fact I'm not even sure that it's hibernation that happens after about 5 minutes sleep. After the 5' sleep, the PC turns on and then seems to shut down, but when when I turn it on, it behaves as if waking up from hibernation (takes about 1 minute to wake).
