Computer Keeps Randomly Lagging (NT Kernel & System)

Alright, so for no reason a week or so ago my computer starts randomly lagging, most notably when playing GTA IV. At first I thought it was the game so I re-downloaded and installed it, (I had some errors anyway).

While I was downloading it from GameStop I would minimize the window and switch users, then log back in to check the status, I could never get the window to restore, so I had to force the process to end. Twice my computer blue screened on me, my computer has never done this before or since.

I haven't installed any new hardware, or updated any drivers (myself), I did a full system scan and Norton didn't find anything. I also did a full system scan with Microsoft's Malicious Software Removal Tool, it found 4 infected files and removed them.

The one thing I did do (I think before I noticed any lagging) was an optimization, cleaned and defragmented the registry, cleaned and defragmented the HDD among other things. My hard drive was heavily fragmented, I don't remember what percentage, but it was a lot.

Still the same problem, so I upgraded Win 7 to Win 7 to re-install the OS (without touching my files) to see if that would fix the problem, and it didn't either.

So I checked Task Manager and this shows up as being the culprit, "NT Kernel & System" can take up anywhere from 20-30 to 40-50% of my CPU. Sometimes it's where it's suppose to be, between 0-3%, I would use KrView but unfortunately it only works up to XP SP1.

I'm getting tired of this random lagging BS, I haven't found a tool other then KrView that will tell me what I want to know. I'm hoping that some of you guys will have some other ideas on how to pinpoint this problem and fix it.

Okay, well While I was playing GTA IV the lagging thing started again, I think I found the driver within the nt kernel and system process that's causing the lagging.

This is the driver: stdriverx64.sys+0x5160, I think it has something to do with the Realtek audio. So I'm going to update the driver to the latest version and see what happens.
