Too many other files are currently in use by 16-bit programs. Win7
Hi,
Some weeks ago, I was having problems with my USB ports, so I went to device manager and uninstalled USB drivers to let windows reinstall them on startup. Since then, I have been having problems with opening device manager. This problem only occurs occasionally, so I am not quite sure what program is causing it, but it only seems to affect device manager. When the problem occurs, I try to open device manager but no program opens. Following this, the start menu becomes frozen and unresponsive, but Windows itself seems to work. When I shut down, the following error message pops up:
EXPLORER EXE
Too many other files are currently in use by 16-bit programs. Exit one or more 16 bit programs or increase the value of the FILES command in your config, sys file
This is happening on the background of a recent clean install of Windows 7 professional 64bit on my laptop (ASUS G53J). Can anyone help with this problem please?
