Oversized usage of CPU (approx 10-25% on games)

    so..

by looking at my spec there shouldn't be any issues right?..

but that's not the case. i had this issue for awhile now, it would randomly run games on a usage of 10-25% cpu, where the ram usage is below 200mb. It's not just a single game, but rather a lot of games.

I've updated every driver i could, updated windows fullest, reinstalled windows, done sfc /scannow (nothing found in that), checked msconfig -> boot -> adv options. the boxes aint ticket.. the task manager even shows that the cores are being used.

however, i did see that i'm unable to access the bios. it just directly freeze (wanted to see if theres anything in there).

so i wanted to know, what can i do?. i can't remember when this started to occour, but i know as many other, it shouldn't take that much cpu usage on a single game. especially when it's forced to lowest usage and doesn't really require that much.

Thank you in advance for your help :)

Did you check in Resource Monitor > CPU tab which processes eat the CPU.

yup. just generally games. it leaps from 1 game to another. depending if i got more open. if only 1 open, it tends to hug that game.. tho, i just have to open the game. not really "play it". before the cpu spikes up

    Miyoki,

Your saying the CPU spikes are directly related to the usage of games or a particular game?

If so, did you download these games?

It could be a DPC latency problem (which usually points to a driver problem). Run this program whilst the games are on and see whether you have any red spikes. If yes, read what it says below the spikes.

That DPC latency looks normal. No problem from there.

i'm completely lost atm to what there cause this issue. but i know when i got this pc. it didn't have that issue. it appeared after my 1st reinstall and it keept being there during my 2nd reinstall.. so i might have missed to install something. but i've checked the cd's i got along with the pc. theres nothing missing there. + everything is up-to-date (checked more than once). so i'm overally open for all suggestions. even if it's something as small as updating directx (using 9.0 i think and i do have 10 or 11)

Post a picture of your Resource Monitor > CPU tab like the one below. Make sure you click on " CPU " above the table so that the processes which use most time are on top.
