Windows 7: system is starting to smell like a toaster.

Since I installed 7, I've noticed my computer is starting to smell hot like a toaster. I'm starting to become concerned. I've checked all my fans and temps using speedfan. My CPU temps are all way below danger levels(hottest core seems to max around 40), my GPU runs kinda hot at default fan speed, but using rivatuner I've turned up the fan to %50 to keep it cooler. It was running at 73 at stock fan speed, but it drops to 53 at 50%. Hard drives all below thirty.. Everything seems to check out, but I keep getting this smell.

Upon visual inspection I don't see any smoke, any burn marks, any signs of a problem. I suppose some dust could be getting burned up somewhere, but I can't tell. Is it possible Windows 7 is just running my system hotter?

I have never heard of Windows 7 running the system hotter...I would also suspect that you have a dust buildup. Grab yourself some canned air...take the panel of the tower and blow it out (especially the fans)

Yeah I had already done that recently. Maybe I blew dust into somewhere. I just blew it out again so we'll see if it comes back.
