    Computer will not sleep

It turns off the monitor at 10 minutes, but at 30, it just keeps on running. Sleep setting in the BIOS is s3. "powercfg -devicequery wake_armed" reports: Standard PS/2 Keyboard HID Keyboard Device HID-compliant mouse Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller And that's as far as I've gotten from Googling. I'm not sure I want to go around disabling things on the advice of Google searches.

Have you looked in control panel in power options?

Well, the forum killed my formatting, but to make things more clear, the power plan in power options is set to sleep at 30 minutes. That's literally the first thing I checked.

Had similar problem. Did the powercfg -requests but is clean. Went to device manager to update all drivers. All drivers were OK. Microsoft is wrong about that. Long story told short. The wireless keyboard (Microsoft 1000) did not have the proper driver. I had to download and install the specific software package.

The lesson is to check the manufacturer's site for the latest software. In this case the Microsoft WHQL driver set did not work on its own hardware. Who knew?

Windows 7 Updates should of picked up the Microsoft keyboard and offered a driver if a newer one was available.

That is what I am trying to say. Update did NOT pick it up and when I tried to update from Device Manager the response was I had the best driver (or whatever). Was the keyboard plug n play? Not really
