to get to run goto search and type run. Or just type whatever you like. most command run just be typing.

Why would you want to delete prefetch? Just curious

Your understand is mistaken. Where did you get it, may I inquire?

The only time you want to clean a 'prefetch' file, is if you've been infected with malware and it shows in the folder.

Just open up your C: drive then open the Windows folder and in there is a folder called Prefetch

Open that folder and delete every entry and then restart your pc.

And enjoy everything taking longer to open until the prefetch cache is rebuilt.

Perhaps I have misinformation. I have been dumping the pretch files for years and have not really noticed my machine loading up web pages slower. I read where they were like temp. internet files and need to be flushed every once in a while. I guess based on what is being said here that is wrong?
