Issue with Lag
I've recently installed windows 7 home premium after having XP PRO for over 6 years. I've noticed there has been one major issue with windows 7. I do have a high end system. I have two displays (2 x Samsung 22" wide-screen) which is running off an 8800GTX XFX, i normally did not have issue with XP PRO when it came to this, but with windows 7 it's annoying.
Anyway, the problem is:
I run a Game or Video in windows mode on the right hand screen which is a secondary, and every time msn or i open another window my FPS or the video lags badly. dropping 30 frames. I've tried to run it with in the Primary screen and see if i get the same issue, i still do. The lag only happens for a maximum of 10 seconds, but if you open or close another window the lag will a cur again.
I've noticed some people are having lag issues when opening and closing windows, but nothing like this. The game i'm actually playing is World of Warcraft and using VLC player to run my movies / videos. It's a ligit copy of Windows and i've reinstalled the operating system and made sure i've got the latest Nvidea graphics drivers, i've even ran a WDDIAG on the raptor HDD which it's installed on. I am not sure why it's happening and getting a bit frustrating! I'm not sure if there is a quick patch fix or something i'm missing.
