Random Programs Opening after Laptop comes out of sleep/hibernate

Just as the thread title says. This used to be something that happened only once in a blue moon, but now pretty much EVERY TIME my laptop is sleeping/hibernating and i wake it up and log back in, the laptop goes berserk. I basically get one of two things:

    1. Random programs open (from Skyrim to like 5 excel sheets to notepad to powerpoint, you get the picture).
    2. My mouse will click whatever it is hovering over and/or my keyboard will type a letter/the enter key indefinitely.

I do use a USB mouse/keyboard, but one time for testing i unplugged my mouse and keyboard and the problem persisted even when they were unplugged. Also, i dont think i have a virus/malware becasue i ran Norton 360's scan as well as Symantecs power eraser tool and both say my system is clean.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

That is very bizarre. Something is causing it/telling it to do that though.

First try making sure no keyboards keys are stuck on the actual laptop keyboard.

I know you said you unplugged the others, but something else may be stuck. Try powering the laptop off and pushing slightly hard on each key on the keyboard and then boot it back up.

You may have programs running at startup that is causing this issue. Please see this tutorial to temporary disable them and see if the issue is resolved:
