I would wait, as Slartybart is an expert, and may further assist you if you have anymore issues. Give it a few days and if no more issues.. then yes. mark as solved.. Thanks for using SevenForums.

This can be caused from crappy coded third party programs, to hardware issues, Slow hard disk etc.

You may have programs running at startup that is causing this issue. Please see this tutorial to temporary disable them and see if the issue is resolved:

Hardly an expert unless you include breaking my machines and figuring out how to fix them without incurring egregious expense at a shop where the technicians have less experience than I do at breaking things

I'm more like a kid who takes things apart to see how they go back together and if they still work.

But thanks for the nice words.

Hey, it's been two days and all quiet. Does that mean pxfragonard will be marking the thread solved?

Thanks, it's not about startup. I check that often but thanks. I think the scan/fix has fixed it for now. I'll run it again if it recurs and run check disc/fix/repair if not and then, if that doesn't work, I'll open a new thread.

Thanks everyone! I hope you were being modest, sarcastic and humorous, btw, about your expertise!!!

Editing the Navigation pane in Explorer
The Navigation Pane in explorer is rather cluttered. I want to remove the "Libraries," "Homegroup," and "Network" entries, but I am not sure how. Preferably without registry editing, but its okay if thats what it entails.
