T7300 rating

Hi! I seem to have a problem with my processor rating, but only in the final version. I have installed previous beta versions and my processor always had a rating of 5.2 (it's a Core 2 Duo T7300@ 2 Ghz). If it was only the problem of the rating, I wouldn't mind. But the computer is very slow. Do you have any ideeas? I rerun the assesment tool but with the same result. I checked the BIOS, everything looks ok. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 1520 laptop, it it helps, and Dell provides no driver support for this model in Win7.

Some kind of throttling on the cpu that might not be working correctly. Look at bios options for that or utilities from Dell that you installed.

Hi. Im having the same problem. I have an LG R500 CP50P (its also a core 2 duo t7300 @ 2ghz) and my windows experience index on the cpu is 3.1. It was higher on Vista I remenber. Also Super Pi on Vista for 2M gave me 1m01s, and now on 7 it gives me 1m42s... I have no idea of what might be wrong! Can anyone help ?

Update the BIOS and chipset, and as has been mentioned, disable any power options either in Windows or the BIOS.

Solvet the problem. It was the CPU throttling. Unplugged the AC adapter and the battery, waited adout 5 minutes and I was back in business. The CPU throttling was somehow affected by Virtual Box. Hope this helps other users.

Well, I solved mine as well. I recently had to send the laptop for repairs ( GPU die on me) and they messed around in the BIOS. Reseting the BIOS to factory defaults helped... I think it might have had something to do with the fan settings.
My cpu on the windows experience index is now of 5.1. Thanks for the help guys ;)
