And a score to throw off the curve... 2.1, baby!

    Processor: 2.3
    Memory (Ram) 1.00 GB: 4.5
Graphics (Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family): 2.1
Gaming Graphics (251 MB Available): 3.0
Primary Hard Disk (4 GB Free, 14 GB Total): 5.9

Gives me a grand score of 2.1. Then again, it is a netbook :P

Just upgraded the MB and CPU and it looks like the onboard graphics is the weak link as per WEI. I'll have to look into the possibility of any tweaks to maybe give it a boost. I experience no video related hiccups but we can never have too much of a good thing.

I have 4.0 because I have an old processor. I have 7.2 in at least two categories.

I believe the WEI is a Big Joke however.

It does not take into account things that degrade system performance like hard drive defragmentation, heavy usage of Themes and backgrounds (animated or otherwise) that are graphic intense , leaving unnecessary unneeded processes enabled to Automatic or Manual instead of being Disabled. It seems to me, WEI looks at hardware settings and performance and tests for that, not software settings.

Also it does not take into account registry hack type performance tweaks.

So you could have a high WEI and your system runs like crap. LOL

On the flip side, you could have a lower WEI and your system could run and perform better than a badly managed system with a higher WEI.

And whats up with the rating from 1.0 to 7.9 ? Why didn't they use 1.0 to a perfect 10 ? That would make more sense to me.

I feel this tool was designed by a bunch of Microsoft nerds that just wanted an easy way to show off in front of their friends. LOL

After completing a new system Build, this is my score.
Nice score. I have the same processor and mine checks in at 7.5. Did you overclock your CPU? If so, what clock rate is it set to?
Yes, I am currently overclocked to 3534 MHz. (I know it is not 4GHz, but the heat put out at that freq. was just too high for me.)

    This OC is stable, though.

Couldn't of said it better myself. What you said is sooo true! Especially what u said about having a HIGH WEI - poor performance, LOW WEI - high performance....

(AND YET, if i pull up a WEI in the computer store and see anything LESS than a 4.5, i pass it up quicker than you can say "Show Us Your Wei" Go figure! lol

The one time you realy need WEI, (When your shopping around, and trying to decide what to buy), Sams club, Walmart, Best buy, They all have that feature disabled, ( at the ones I visit ) I just figure there is a reasion they don't want you to know, and move on. Time to buy from someone else, or build your own.
