a system 32 dll error on bootup

Hey guys, when i went to boot my computer today it came up with some error message when i logged in, I didnt catch the entire thing but it was something like c:\windows\system32\?\DXP.dll is corrupt please run chkdisk utility. I didnt catch the entire filepath unfortunately, which is why i have the question mark.
Does anyone know how bad this error is and if chkdisk will fix?

Major Foley one way to find out mate is to run chkdsk with the /f and /r switches see this
Disk Check > Option 2 you need to run the straight test first then if it comes back as no good run it again with the /f switch and if really necessary the /r switch.

Forgot to mention it might even come to this Startup Repair
