Hello Tony,
Yep, it's completely safe to check anything that you wanted to delete using Disk Cleanup. :)
Disk Cleanup - Open and Use
Thanks very much, my friend. Here goes ....!
Hi,
Yes disk cleanup and system cleanup are great windows built in tools,
Another one that you might look into,
https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/307546-windows-updates-remove-outdated-updates-windows-7-a.html
This is actually the only third party utility I use and it's great to remove any java crap left over by browsers,
Temp files delete,
Run this as administrator and Start the scanner,
Shut your machine down after it finishes,

I am a 70-year old geezer and not the brightest bulb on the tree; so, please bear with me.
When you say "disk cleanup" and "system cleanup" you give me the impression that there is another tool similar to disk cleanup called "system cleanup" which works only on cleaning system files? If so, could you please point me to it and give me a hint or two on its use (and safety). Naturally, I thank you in advance.
Tony,
The tutorial link I posted above can help show you how to. The "System Cleanup" option basically just runs Disk Cleanup elevated to include system junk files as well. :)
Hi,
Yes word trickery :)
#5 in the tutorial Brink posted shows (Cleanup System files) which I referred to as System cleanup = My Bad
Don't worry the windows Eight forum tutorial applies to windows seven as well when it comes to removing outdated windows updates :)
