Script to seach folders & subfolders for files containing keywords

    Hello,

I need help creating a basic script which will search C: drive, and all its subfolders for all files containing keywords in the filename. I would like the script to pull the keyword filenames from a list.

For example, I will have a text file named list.txt, in this list it will have diffrent lines, with names such as

    John, smith
    jane, doe
    john, appleseed
    etc.

in my C: drive, there are multiple folders that contain multiple PDF's files named John, smith04111983.pdf smith, john april111983.pdf etc.

I would like the script to go thru the list, and search the entire C; drive for any files containing the names on the list, and any files found placed in a folder, on my D: drive.

I have tried diffrent scripts, and have been unsuccessful in finding a script to do this. It seems really simple, but i dont have much scripting expierince. Please help.

Why not install and use a program like Everything Search Engine?
