    back up files


    i installed windoes 7 home premium today but i cannot backup my files it says error is windows backup failed while trying to read from the shadow copy on one of the volumes being backed up .please check in event logs for any errors (0x81000037) event ID 4104 could you help i also get a error message at start up asio.sys!! (2) any idea what is wrong

    Two suggestions
    1. disable your antivirus during the backup
    2. read this How to troubleshoot Windows Backup and Restore issues when a reparse point folder or its subfolder is added to a user library in Windows 7

    I'm having the same problem with Win 7 backup. I'm not looking for a "cool" solution, but perhaps more instruction on reparse points would serve to enlighten us all. ??Any takers??
