WEI went DOWN after installing video card

I'm happy with my computer, as I mostly do email, forums, and the like. I'm curious though, as I was using the onboard graphics (Intel 82945G on an old Dell OptiPlex GX620) but yesterday installed an XFX Radeon HD5450 (Ebay/New) to get an HDMI output allowing me to use my larger TV in my living room as a monitor when desired. I originally had a WEI score of 3.3 and now have a score of 2.9? As stated above, I'm happy with the setup but thought as the graphics score was the low item in the list (all 4 other scores are mid 5s) that a better card would increase the score. I don't need to change anything as it works fine, but don't understand...Is the Radeon card a poorer performer than the onboard? It certainly looks great to me! Anyway, thanks in advance for any thoughts.....Bill

Make sure you have the latest driver and run it again.

Also, make sure that no other programs/games are running when running WEI. Also, as was stated above, update your video driver.

Drivers are latest available (7.12.0.7717 dated 9-17-13) according to device manager. (I just ran it).
Yes, both are connected to it and both screens function well, singly and together.
No other programs were running except a IE browser window.
Yeah, I just bought cheapest with HDMI because of my limited needs.
I am very happy with the results for $30, just thought the score reduction was odd.

Just thinking (very dangerous)....Would anything change if I disabled the on-board graphics? There's nothing connected to that motherboard VGA port but I didn't do anything software-wise.

Hmmm, Just tried......BIOS states that when using a PCI-E graphics card (which this IS and is recognized and running), the internal graphics are auto-disabled- nothing I could change there. So that idea was no help!
Thankfully, this is just curiousity, everything works fine. The score just bugs me!

WEI score don't mean much. If you really want to know, run benchmarks on your new GPU, then the onboard, I think your GPU will win. Don't sweat it mate, you improved no matter what wei says
