    Periodic disk read usage spiking

Good day. Every now and then my hard drive disk usage in Resource Monitor goes 100% for a few seconds(sometimes a minute or two). Then it comes back and everything runs fine.
The CPU and memory use are both low. According to Hard Disk Sentinel my disk health is at 53%, and the temperatures are fine. I thought that it might be file indexing so disabled that and it still happens.

I attached a JPEG of a time when it happened. As you can see it is only one file(the currently playing avi file) that is causing the huge reading. This also happens while gaming or playing music.

I really hope this is a minor issue. Thanks for your time!

I should probably add why this is a problem:
When this happens the files playing get very 'stuttery.' As in plays a bit, stops, plays a bit and so on. Games will also stop for a while and suddenly come back and stop and go.

After further inspection it seems as though the disk is at these times runnning at 100%, however the write/read speeds are very slow. Sometimes only peaking at 1MB/s. Other times at 10MB/s as in the JPEG.
What could cause max activity but very little actual reading/writing?
