extended processor option for i7

Hi,

Someone was telling me that my i7 should have come with a utility to exend the processor almost like a super processor (sort of like overclocking) but i cant seem to find any such utility from intel in my system.

Does anyone know what they might be talking about, they said it was from intel and it could improve the speed of my processor and it only comes on i7 machines.

Thanks
