Problem with System File Checker Tool Results

Hello gibernau,

Welcome to Seven forums for starters. I would like to add some suggestions in this case. When SFC scan locates corruption
and states that it can not fix some of the corruption. In good practice is to run a check disk on the Mach. to
further address the issues the system is experiencing.
Check disk can be performed in the following manner(s):

Quick Link to Steps: ( Via windows explorer)
Disk Check

Under Command Line:
In Start menu> under search for programs or files:
Type CMD> cmd.exe will appear above in the Search>right click
and in the drop down Menu choose Run As Administrator>
Allow through UAC(User Account Control) Windows Command line will Appear.
There at the Flashing Cursor Please type chkdsk (space) /r
and tap Enter. it will advise of the type of file system running (NTFS)
as well as inform the system is in use and can not perform Task.
In a moment after it will ask to perform this task at the next reboot
y/n tap y then enter. it will advise that the system will checked next time the system starts.
close out CMD and reboot the computer. the chkdsk will start on its own
(*note to cancel at start ) tap any Key with in the count down timer to resume booting to Windows.
this will check the disk for errors 5/5 will be performed/
depending on issue and speed of Mach. could take up to an hour or more.

See how that works on the issue you are having.
I will Leave it up to Forum Monitors to address the CBS log File,as I do not want to over step my bounds.this is a suggestion for starters to help with the issue.

You stated that a crash caused you to investigate and run SFC.

I probably should have addressed my post to gibernau - that might have lessened any confusion.

I advised the member to provide additional information (standard crash collection and the preferred SFC/SURT data collection). Chkdsk is a good tool for disk issues (which can cause crashes) and might show some corruption.

We're all here to help other members (we learn and we pass on the information we gain) - keep up the good work.
