    Power Management?

What sorts of things can I do for power management, or is there any freeware/cheap software out there for this?? I cannot get my Sony Utilities installed, which means I no longer have Sony power management....

Yes, but that only changes display (on/off), disk (on/off) and screen brightness...I need something with "power saver mode," that'll limit the computers performance. Or are those the only things Sony Utilities modified?

    Hello Awenthol,

I'm not sure what all you are wanting to control or what programs may allow this, but you can also usually set performance settings in the BIOS as well. Do this only if you are comfortable in the BIOS though.

In Power Options, you can set limits on your processor performance state as well.

    Hope this helps some,
