Performance options pop up window

Every time I boot up my windows 7 Laptop I get "Performance Options" window.
and I can't set up a paging file
My RAM is:4GB

I'm booting my laptop with external hard drive....Is that the problem??

and yeah I used the command (sfc /scannow) and it says (Windows found corrupted file and can't fix it)

it also gave me a LOG file and when I open it says ( Access denied)

Please Help me...I want to play minecraft

Have you run Checkdisk /r or Windows startup repair from the install disk, 3 times? There are tutorials for both these functions.

Can you boot your system without a external drive?
What is on your external drive?
What is on your internal drive?

What are you trying to do with pagefile?

What I mean.

1. What is installed on your external drive?
2. What is installed on your internal drive?

**What drive is Windows 7 installed on?

Completing this tutorial would be very helpful. Post results here.
