Windows 7: How do I replace corrupted files?

Have you read through the tutorial for Repair Install or Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which each cover everything you'd need to know for those procedures? You can then ask back any questions.

Open the download link at https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=365EA77F74A302F6!1081715&authkey=!ALMZez-hWUQBzAc&ithint=file%2ciso and bookmark the page so you can start it later or get back to it if needed. But I'd start downloading it now, turn off sleep and hibernate to let the PC get the whole download.

Thank you so much! I have that downloading now. As for the tutorial, I've read through it again and it's still rather intimidating. Would you recommend that I follow step 4, 5, or 6? I'm not sure which is most appropriate.

Badwolf, what were you or are you using for AV ?

an ISO file is:

You are downloading what is called an iSO image or file, you burn that image to a dvd with the program in the tutorial, you will then have your own Windows 7 Home Premium Install DVD.

What tutorial are you unclear about? What are your questions?

Even if you do the Repair Install, use the tools and methods in Clean Reinstall Windows 7
to have a perfect install.

I`ll let others comment on whether or not that AV is good or bad

Wait, is that not a reputable AV? I'd heard that it was...? What would you recommend then?

Again, this is discussed along with all the other tools that work best for Win7 in Clean Reinstall Windows 7 which is why I suggested you read it several times to answer questions you keep asking.

I hope you have plenty of time to read Greg`s tutorial.

These are the only 2 programs you should use with windows.

MSE and MBAM, both are free.
