Strange issues with not being able to , left click goes to "properties

Just today I suddenly have a problem where I can't type at all at times. I can put the cursor in place, I can use the scroll bars on the sides to move up and down, but can not type in available spaces. WHen I tried left clicking it would go to "properties" on any icon/shortcut I chose. I couldn't even go to "restart" on the desktop screen the normal way. I had to shut the computer down and load everything over then use the on screen keyboard to type in my admin password.

It loaded, started typing normally then a little while later went back to the same issue. I did it again and same thing. Right now I'm using it and I see its starting to slow down and freeze while I type. (I'm seriously praying it lets me finish this inquiry) I'm using a separate keyboard because of an issue I had from a while back with the "W" key getting stuck and having to always hit "ESC" to get it to stop. I never have problems with the added keyboard and it doesn't seem to be the keyboard itself since I can't use any of the original keys on the laptop either when this happens. (I could always use most of them)

I also noticed a box in the top left would try to pop up with options like "file" when I would try to type during these times.

The only new things I can say happened on here today is an icon in the bottom right asking if I want to upgrade to Windows 10 and Firefox had a promotion for it's Foxyeah program/event.

I had ran a whole scan using AVG and it had 3 medium threats which were removed, but that didn't seem to help. I don't know what step to take next and am scared to do anything that might cause more harm since I use this laptop for everything business etc.

Left click opening properties is indication of ALT (or ALT GR) button getting stuck. Can you try to press it swiftly a few times if this happens?
