    sfc /scannow


    Hello can someone help me out on this issue, I get this message when trying to run the sfc /scannow. Could someone help please. Thank you

    Start Menu - search for cmd, right click it and run as administrator. Try and report back

My mom's computer is acting up again, and I have been selected as the designated Repair Guy. Yay me! :p She is running XP sp3. I'd like to do an sfc/ scannow on the thing, but I've never done it in XP. Has anybody done this? What should I know going in? Any pointers or advice for me? Thanks!
