I ran sfc/scannow and found corrupt files, how do I fix this?

    Ok,thanks for the help on the sfc issue and I'll maybe see you in the bsod post :)

    Is there anything else I should do about the laptop freezing issue ?

    Is it still freezing? Did you try with another account, and Safe Mode with Networking?

    Unfortunatley it did freeze around 25 mins ago , so I ran malware bytes to see if there was any malware that could be causing it, it found some malware in registry, so thats ok, but could you tell me how to effectively use the clean start up to find any problems in the services ? Also I am now in safe mode with networking, so far no freezing. I might try to remove some remaining files from AVG as ICT said before.
