Do you have WinRAR installed, if not, here is the link CLICK HERE run installer. (accept default values/entries)
Download the File Fix.rar from my Google Drive account CLICK HERE. Open with WinRAR and EXTRACT all folders to DESKTOP.
Follow the instructions in the READ ME FIRST.txt file

Hey thanks again! I just sent a request for permission to download it. I really appreciate your help on this. Any idea how this sort of thing happens? Maybe I can try to prevent it in the future.

Microsoft Windows!!! need I say more!! LOL

Always a good idea to backup your files or do a system image regularly, which I do. If you find problems then it's easy to restore system image. I use AOMEI Backupper Standard. You can extract files and folders from system image too.

If issue is resolved please indicate so on your post.

Looks like to download the file from your google drive. I need to request access. I've gone ahead and sent the request. I guess you just need to confirm it.

Sorry I didn't know my Google Drive account acted in that manner, not as Drop Box acts. Here's the zip file attached.

Oh thanks! For the Package_for_KB3023607~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum and Package_for_KB3023607~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.cat, files there's more then one, right? I counted around 14 with the same description as: "Package_for_KB3023607~31bf3856ad364e35~amd64~~6.1.1.0.mum"

Edit: Oops, nevermind, I think I found the right one.

Are the windows update packages all exactly the same. You will have a .mum & corresponding .cat file. I don't think there should be more than one set. Check carefully that the files are exactly the same. If so then delete them. If windows update determines the files are needed they will be available to download & install again.

Okay, I think I did it right. The only strange thing was the manifests file on my computer was empty? But I pasted the replacements in. Heres the new CheckSUR log attached.

I checked my manifest folder C:\Windows\winsxs\Manifests It contains 21,199 files. Did you paste the files into the correct folder?

Oh okay, I see them now. Instructions had said: C:\Windows\Temp\CheckSUR\winsxs\Manifests. That one was empty. The other you mentioned is filled. I've replaced the files. Heres the new CheckSur log.
