Currently having irregular, high RAM/Physical memory + CPU usage

Imgur Here is a album just demonstrating 4 situations that this has occured, notably when this occurs, the only 'demanding' programs are skype, chrome and steam. Surely not enough to warrant this much usage.

My system specs are on my profile, most of these programs occured after installing a cooler, but don't seem to be a ram related problem, as I replaced them already..
I have already tried performance monitor, clearing up start up items, memory diagnostics.

Please help me ! Much appreciated.

I'm not sure that I'll be able to help you find the offending app(s), but maybe I can help you to post those images in a way that more members will see them. Some members are not comfortable visiting image hosting websites. The steps in this tutorial should let you post the images as attachments to your post: Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums

Step 10 thru 12 show how to place the image inline so that you can have text above and/or below the image. Otherwise, the images will appear at the end of the text in your posts.

You might want to post screenshots of Resource Monitor - the Memory tab and the CPU tab.

If you get bored, I would be interested in the results of a WDO scan.

The scan will probably need to run overnight.

It may be worth binning Chrome and using IE or Firefox for a while, I'm noticing a lot of issues including BSODs lately that are solved by uninstalling Chrome. Disabling hardware acceleration does help in some instances but Chrome does seem to screw up some systems in crazy ways and I'm no nearer figuring out what the issue is. Some people run Chrome without issue I daresay but it may well be worth removing it from the equation even if just for testing purposes.

I use Chrome only for a 2nd Gmail account. No issues with that, but that's about all I do with it.

The Msconfigs you asked for are attached. What do you mean by ''Paged and Non-paged" btw? I unistalled Chrome to see if it could be memory leaking somehow.

See if this blog helps:

Your numbers are small...
Currently having irregular, high RAM/Physical memory + CPU usage-paged.png
...and that is good.

As opposed to numbers like...
Currently having irregular, high RAM/Physical memory + CPU usage-paged2.png
...which could mean a bad driver or two.

Second image is from this thread:

I would start with the scan mentioned in post #2.
I like to use a USB flash drive.

Just what I thought.
Look at my post #3 again. You will see that I have very few things running in the background and you have masses running.

Make sure you keep all active security programs checked. In my opinion the rest don't need checked.

To explain.
Every thing that is checked will start at boot and run in the background whether you use them or not. A big waste of resources.

Unchecked programs still lets you or your system use them when needed.
Example:

Lets say you have Office installed. If you have it checked in msconfig Office will run in the background even when you are not using it.
Unchecked it will only run when you want to use it. Just tick on the program or it's icon and presto it is running. When you close Office it will go back to doing nothing.

Please note that you will have to do your updates manually. Which is the way I do updates.
