Program Compatibility Assistant won't go away

PCA decided that OpenOffice didn't install correctly. (It did.) Now every time I use OO, PCA pops. It does not help to say "Don't show again."
Where do I find the flag that says OO needs to be checked?

Saw that, thanks. But I don't want to disable it completely, I just want to stop it from offering to help with OO Calc and Write. I offers to help every time I open and close them, even though I tell it everything is fine, and don't tell me about this program again.

So basically you are saying, if I want PCA for the future, I must put up with it popping up 20 times a day, whenever I close Calc, for the rest of my life?

If there is another way so sorry I do not know of it ... Do not even think if you Re-installed the program that would help or even if it did could happen again in the future ...

I'll try re-installing. It looked as though it failed to install, but it didn't.

Microsoft's Program Compatibility Assistant popped up and made changes to my system after a photoshop cs6 crash. Since the PCA, according to MS, is designed to make older programs compatible to MS's newer O/S's, and since my version of photoshop was created long after win7, am I correct in...

How can I see and change what Program Compatibility Assistant did?
After working fine for months my Comodo Firewall failed to start properly on one bootup. Without giving me the option to say do NOT make any changes--for each of the two dialog boxes, I said just close the program--the PCA popped up saying it had applied a compatibility fix! (In the past on older...

Program Compatibility Assistant query
I just encountered the Program Compatibility Assistant for the first time, but it was triggered by a Windows 7-compatible program. I'm concerned about the PCA's ability to block programs and I'm hoping that someone can tell me if there is a possibility that could happen as a result of a compatible,...
