Restore points got deleted even that the storage for them is not full

On my Windows 7 the default settings for the space that is used to store restore points is 578 mb. The current space that is used to store restore points is 265 mb but i already have old restore points that are deleted even that the limit size for storage is not reached. Why this is happening?

That is vary little space. I'm surprised if it holds more then two or three.
Try increasing the space to 1 or 2GB and see what happens.

I keep my restore point space to 5% and it works well for me.
Restore points in (MB) is way to small.
