Hi.
Please see attached scannow log, there a few errors that remain as 'unrepairable'. I am not sure what to try, a new install, a repair install, or a repair on these specific errors. I also have many Task Scheduler errors listed on another thread here.
My Win7 64 Pro seems to be running fine so am tempted to leave well alone, but I would also like to sort the problems!!

As a matter for my education, what is the difference between doing it this way and a straightforward 'Repair Install' ?
The post that I linked to was only meant to convey that you do not need to do anything. There is no problem with your computer. The results of the SFC scan that you posted can be ignored.
The post that I linked to just happened to be in a tutorial thread. I was not suggesting that you follow the steps of that tutorial. If a computer will not boot - the users can try the steps in that tutorial - otherwise, SFC can be run from within the operating system. Running SFC from within the OS might require restarting and running the scan again. This might need to be repeated several times to get all of the files fixed. In some cases, it might be quicker to run the scan from within WinRE... but hard drive access might be slower on some systems.
Thanks UNI. I'm pleased to hear there is no problem with my PC, can't say the same for the user though!
After many years use I reckon its time to do a clean install, once I have the courage that is.... It always seems to go wrong somewhere
