laptop freezes periodically after removing battery

    Greetings,

I recently downgraded from windows 10 to windows 7. After the update, whenever i remove the battery, my computer freezes periodically. Whenever i put the battery back in, it works absolutely fine. no freezes. i have disabled the battery charging, as i dont want to ruin the battery. I have a dell N5110. The battery is aftermarket model. Please help resolve this matter.

    Core i5
    Nvidia 525M

    Thanks!

    Can't think of much. Try:
    - Restoring defaults for Power Plans - Power Plan - Restore Default Settings

Check your device drivers (devmgmt.msc), any issues there?

Don't bother if there are no visual issues (yellow exclamation or the sort).

With battery issues there is this method - Laptop Battery Not Charging | PCWorld. But I am not positive it can fix your issue.

Can you try in Safe Mode please?
Also with another user account - User Account - Create

Later try a clean startup (less likely but worth to check) - Troubleshoot Application Conflicts by Performing a Clean Startup
