Why is most of my Ram hardware reserved (old noob)

Hi guys I am trying to work out why my wife's computer is slowing down. I have noticed over half of my ram is reserved. I have an on board graphics cards Gigabyte 720 and i have portable hard drive as back up. other than that I cannot really think of anything that would be hogging ram. i seem to have the latest bios and i have checked the box for max ram is unticked.
    Any ideas?
I would post all my info but i am not sure how to do it. I have screen shot my resources and will attatch it to the post (i hope)Why is most of my Ram hardware reserved (old noob)-resource-monitor-ram.png

Check the number of items in Startup. Which are not needed?

Because you have on board graphics, if you had a discrete graphics card, that number would most likely come down.

Every motherboard and video card are different and will give you different numbers, I would get a modern card and that hardware reserve number should change, but that`s not guarrenteed.

Did you look in the bios to see if there are any optionsyou can change as far as the dedicated system video memory ?

Usually it`s just shared, you`d have to look in computer properties to see what`s actually going on.

You really need to add some memory to your PC, if possible.

I have added 4 gigs of Ram and most of that has been reserved too.
