WIN7 Pro 64 Skype and IE 11 problems SFCdetails.txt included

    Hi,

Worked for some time and used your page here for info SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker.

Had restored to oldest restore point but it appears restore points were removed as there were only restore points from NOV 11th forward yet system has been in service for quite some time. Believe a power failure may have caused it as the USB cable to UPS was not connected.

Then ran System readiness tool and ran SFC scannow again and after running it I got the SFC scannow to reach 100% but still has files it could not fix. Prior to running system readiness tool it would die at 60%.

Can you look at sfcdetails4.txt and give me some help please.

Also getting some dll errors during startup.
    DWM.exe error dcd11.dll missing
    Acrodist.exe Jp2Klib.dll is missing
    and one other I missed.

    Thank you very much

    Regards

    Doug

PS This is what the last SFC /scannow results in cmd prompt were.

    C:\Windows\system32>sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan. This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of th
    em.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example

Also want to mention we attempted a in place upgrade using win 7 pro 64 media but it came up with a message about a WDS driver that I could not find referenced anywhere and said to correct before running. I know that is not all the info but it said something WDS and I did not note the rest of it. Would prefer to not reinstall as a ton of software on system hence wanted to do a REPAIR in place.

I also Ran the Core Security and included the Diagnostic scan after running a full scan of the system.

Also ran a full AV scan and it found one seemingly innocuous file it cleaned.

Running Online ESET Scan now to double check.

I noticed in the diagnostics it stated IE 9 is installed yet if I attempt to install IE 11 I get the attached screen shot error where it states a newer version is installed.

The main issue is IE 11 no longer running breaking Skype and all IE related apps.

It seems like the power may have failed while the updates were running and the USB cable that connected the system to the UPS was bad so I am thinking the machine got shut off during the update possibly???

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

Cannot uninstall/fix IE 11 WIN& Pro 64. SFCdetails attached to origin

UPDATED INFO *** PLEASE... Pretty please with sugar. BUMP? Anyone have any help maybe?

I have gone through every post I could find on this subject. I have tried the SFC /Scannow multiple times after I run the System Readiness tool (Running it the second time now).

Tried uninstalling IE 11 using the command line methods suggested which also fail.

I was able to deselect Internet Explorer 11 from Select Windows Components but every time I attempt to uninstall IE 11 from installed updates it continues to fail with a new error in a small box that states

    "Installer encountered an error: 0x80073712
The component store has been corrupted"

Any ideas for how to proceed besides a clean install are appreciated.

I did try to IN PLACE UPGRADE using the same version of windows Win7 Pro 64 SP1 yet it creates a compatibility report and does not let me continue (Or I am missing something possibly). This is the report.

    >>>Upgrading Windows will affect the following devices and/or programs:

These devices might not work properly after the upgrade. Before upgrading, we recommend updating the drivers for these devices. Cancel the upgrade, open Control Panel and search for "update device drivers", or go to the device manufacturer's website to search for updated drivers.

    Thanks

After running all the tools suggested here including the System readiness tool and multiple sfc /scannow I was able to clear the error we were getting when attempting to do a repair. It finally allowed us to run a repair which worked perfectly and brought IE back to version 8.

System is now stable and IE and Skype working well.
