I know this has been answered before but i have tried everything and i must have clicked "don't show this msg again" like thousand times, and i turned off "Windows troubleshoting", turned of UAC as well...
but still i see it. is there any way to get rid of it for good, without having to change windows theme.
it only happens when i play games and i alt + tab a lot! also i have disabled transparency and RAM should not be a problem. i have 8 GB DDR3.
Hello.
Basically this message it telling you that you computer is performing slow and that graphics card is out of memory (you should not disable it) but;
Anyway, check it again (just to make sure):
Control Panel>System and Securty>Action Center>Change Action center settings (left bar)>Maintenance messages>Check did you turned off Windows troubleshooting
Also try to Disable Desktop Composition in .exe of game you're running (Compatibility tab).
If you did turned it off and it still pops up something is not alright.
Run SFC /SCANNOW in Command prompt.System may be corrupted.
i did SFC scan, "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violation".
also as wrote before, i did disable "Windows troubleshooting". that's the first thing i did, and it's still disabled.
problem is, system is not behaving slow, it has enough memory and vram. but that memory is taken by the game, not all of it though. but still...problem is when i ALT+TAB a lot. to do something else while playing, example open browser and check something up on internet. i don't turn off game to do so. just alt tab. if i disable desktop composition, that it makes my desktop look ugly. i don't want to turn of theme on dekstop. though i disabled a lot of features that takes unecesarry VRAM. even transparecy is off..but i don't want classic star menu, or white/gray taskbar..
is there solution (like registry fix) or where to change to disable just this msg to popup, even if computer thinks that it's performing slow (which is not). everthing works well ok, except for that anoying popup msg. i just think that windows want's to be smart in every way, but failing to do so.
all i wanna do is, say : "shut up windows, don't bug me...let me worry about those things, and i'll see if you performing slow...". which he's not, again. just likes to say so..for no aparent reason!
To me the answer is in your computer specs.
With Windows 7 64 and 2 GB of DDR2 with a video card with 512MB of ram.
You are just running out of ram with what you are trying to do.
That is why you are getting that message from Windows 7.

In his original post he said: i have 8 GB DDR3.
so it looks like his System Specs are out of date.
To the best of my memory Windows 7 only gives that warning when the system is being over tasked for the hardware that is being used and or the settings of the system.

I'm only getting it after closing certain games. I have a GTX 980ti, so I have plenty of VRAM. I do overclock the video card as much as possible and sometimes see 100% usage, so that could be the problem.
