windows.exe "the application was unable to start correctly oxc00000.22

Help! This all started on my laptop running win 7 after I ran a check disc and the computer deleted and updated a ton of files. Whenever I start the computer, I get to the logon screen, click my name, plug in my password, and get the message in the thread title. At first I started getting a message that the task manager was unable to start correctly, then after doing some diagnostic tests that went away and this is what I have now.

I ran the "sfc /scannow" program from the command prompt several times, but each time got the message "windows resource protection did not find any integrity violations". I also ran a scan disc, hase tried system restore but the problem is still there. Any suggestions? I am able to run find in Safe Mode but of course am limited in what I can do.

Hi cALLEDTOBEFREE & welcome to sevenforums.

Repair Install will correct your problem

You will need 25 character Windows product key & Win7x32 ISO or DVD

You can click on find windows product key popup, press CTRL + C and paste into notepad, wordpad, or word. Print to alleviate typos & transpositions.

Hi wben353: Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately right now I have developed another problem. I was able to access the internet in safe mode by pressing f8 upon starting the laptop and selecting the option "safe mode with networking". Unfortunately now, even after selecting that option, the system is finding no networks in safe mode. I do have a network available via wifi which works on my smartphone.

    Have my internet back

I have my internet back online, still having trouble finding the product key. Bought the laptop used, no Win 7 sticker on the bottom :)
