Check Disk Says Volume is Clean

I ran check disk today, and when it was finished, it says the volume is clean. What does this mean? I've never seen this screen before when I run check disk. The same "volume is clean" message appeared once before, but I didn't tell check disk to run. I assumed it had to do with the dual boot I had(Linux/Windows). Is this a bad thing for my hard drive?

It's an indicator that all is well (no errors on the disk) but it's weird that you're seeing it for the first time, if you didn't do anything different.

Maybe the effect of one of those automatic windows "fixes" ?

Could be. To tell you the truth, I put check disk to run, and walk way. When I come back after about 1hr(I periodically check to make sure all is well) it's at the log in screen, so maybe this message usually comes up but I miss it. Although I doubt even that. I sometimes comes when it's at 95-99% done and watch my computer restart and that message never came up. I do however run check disk a few times a week. Could that be it?

If your dual booting you did something in linux to the drive that the windows loader did not like and it was just making sure its system was in order, you get it also if your computer would to say bluescreen a bunch. Its precautionary that's all. It shows starting windows then went to a screen that says press a key to skip correct?

Let me be detailed in my answer.

The first time "Volume is Clean" messaged appeared was when I had a dual boot Linux/Windows partition. I went into the Windows partition after days of using Linux, and the message came up for a few seconds, and it went to the login screen automatically. Not sure why the message appeared.

The second time, I removed my dual boot partition after a few days, and use my Windows 7 installation disc to repair the MBR. As a precaution, I used chkdsk /f /r and restarted my computer. That's when the message came up again, disappeared and the login screen came up.

It's not a problem, just wondering why it happened all of a sudden.

Yeah might just do it when it sees another loader in general that's not windows. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2854570
