I have reinstalled 7 3 times on this pc and it still does it yet my laptop thats not as good a spec dont also my pc never did it when i had RC on it. Is there any way to fix this thanks.

Things to check initially is the graphics drivers - check that you have the latest from the manufacturer's site

Also check that you don't have any mapped drives that point to missing shares

Other than the two main ones above the other things to check is the AV maybe doing a check on start-up - or it maybe something else set to start automatically - as this is happening before log-in I would suspect something set to load for every user rather than on a per user basis

you may want to check out Autoruns from MS which will show you everything that is started with your PC

thanks for link but there wouldnt be anything starting that could affect it really would there if it does it as soon as a fresh install of 7 is put on as its only running what been installed of the disc. Wolud ressting bios to optimized defaults fx it if it was trying to boot something that it shouldnt?

If this is a totally clean install then there should be nothing running to cause the delay - unless one of the standard start-up processes has a problem with some hardware on your system - without an error message it is virtually impossible to diagnose the fault

with the Bios - It may do - but what i would suggest is that you make a note of the working settings before you change anything just in case you have any worse issues with the optimised settings
