Oh, no, Sowhaty! I'm sorry to have hijacked your post!

I've been rushing around (I uninstalled IE 11 3 times...!) and I didn't realize I had gone full circle with my research.

Here's how I fixed it: (as per Sowhaty's original post)

"...System settings, then click 'advanced' system settings)
then go to advanced tab, then performance settings.
Enable 'use visual styles on windows and buttons'(should be very last box)."

It worked. I havn't tried going back to disable it now. (It ain't broke... )

I certainly don't care about MSIE, either. But apparently, Amazon Video does. (A Silverlight issue). And....yeah...it's even less safe than the newer versions.

Alright, I'll look into the last few posts, but gotta say that since I fixed the issue by uninstalling that certain culprit update, I was reverted back to an older version of IE ... 8 or sth like that. IE11 was in my Windows Update and just for the heck of it I decided to update to it and see what happens. Well ... it messed up my Resource Monitor. How AMAZING!!!

Don't be so sorry for hijacking ... it's all good. was just saying that the culprit was already found. it's a trade-off btwn having visual styles off, having ie11 and resmon running ... would be nice to be able to marry the 3 of them, but for now that's a no go.

The point of this whole thread was to have Resmon working with visual styles disabled and at 125% scaling in 'Make text and other items larger or smaller'.

It would also help others if you would rework your first post in this thread. Please post your screenshots using these steps: Screenshots and Files - Upload and Post in Seven Forums Some forum members don't trust image hosting websites and the one that you picked was infecting certain users not too long ago (source).
Has been reworked now! Thanks for the tip! :)
