I can still boot to Windows, there's just that message which wasn't there before when I was in IDE(Default). I didn't transfer the OS from HDD to SDD, clean install using Win 7 Home Prem Disc.

You should reinstall windows, making sure the bios is set to AHCI first.

Look in Device Manager and see if there are any errors.

I did some searching and found a couple of threads you can read.
It might be a problem with the Intel SATA controller.
Gigabyte GA-H67A-UD3H (Rev 1.0). "No Device Detected" for SATA2 ports
boot - How to reset the Intel SATA controller ROM? - Super User

Check if your BIOS is the latest version.
There is an Intel SATA Preinstall driver (For AHCI / RAID Mode) available from Gigabyte at this site:
GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1155 - GA-Z68AP-D3 (rev. 1.0)

You could contact Gigabyte support and see if they have any suggestions.
Your easiest solution might be to just use IDE with that motherboard.

Ram question
I am now running Windows 7 64 bit and I am in looking at my system in the control panel and it says I have 4 GB of RAM installed but only 3.25 is usable, this confuses me because I thought since I am running 64 bit all 4 GB would be usable.
