Installed the new memory today. Confirmed with Speccy that it see's all 4GB and it's running dual channel. I also uninstalled some software today, mostly Yahoo and Facebook stuff. The computer is faster than it's been. Might do some more tweaking tomorrow.

I'll do that tomorrow. I'll have to save it to a thumb drive and upload it when I get home.

Here is msconfig and regedit. I also tried running disk cleanup and got an error message.

Hi,
Ouch you have Mcafee and Norton installed
Just one of those is sort of crazy but this is outer limits to have both

I saw that. I think one came with the computer when it was new and the other was installed later on. I have to go in today for a couple hours and I'll look at it then.

What ever is on this computer our IT person installed. I'll see which antivirus I can get rid of. I'll also see what other programs I can uninstall/remove from the Run sub key.

If it was my computer I would remove Mc Afee using their online tool.

In my opinion you have way to many things starting at boot running in the background.

Examples from my system.

Performance difference based on position of single GPU?
My motherboard has the following PCIe slots for graphics cards: 2 x PCIe 3.0/2.0 x16 (x16 or dual x8) 1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (x4 mode, black) I gather the top and middle slots will offer no benefits over each other, but with a single GPU, will I notice a decrease in performance using the last PCIe...
