CPU running 100%
I'm having problems with the CPU running 100% I think perfmon.exe may be the cause sometimes running at 34-40%. I have a Acer 5610 with a T2080 1.73 Mgr processor.

Hi,
See what happens if you disable the update system
Go to windows updates and change settings
Switch to Never check for updates/ save and restart the machine.
If it continues see if these services are still running

Windows update
When manually installing updates you need to switch your update settings to Never check for updates and restart the machine first.
Make sure KB3020369 is installed if not manually install it,
Win-7 32 bit
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=46827
Win-7 64 bit
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=46817
Then manually install KB3172605
https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3172605
Win-7 32 bit,
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/down....aspx?id=53335
Win-7 64 bit,

After switch your windows update settings back to what you had prior and manually check for updates and the rest should show up shortly.
Thanks TrashZone,
Tried your memory usage deductions and they worked, also went into Antivirus setting and dropped
down from aggressive level which was using up a lot of memory, and put a order in for more 2 GB of DDR2 - RAM. Do you think increasing RAM will improve CPU levels?
Hi,
Adding more ram will of course help startup.... but not cpu usage issues
Did you see if the 2 updates were installed and if not did you install them ?
That will do the most for the high cpu usage.
I was able to download updates and they all posted but 2 so I will try again. You mentioned that increase in RAM will not improve CPU what about resetting to factory defaults and adding a SSD?
Reset will just make matters worse because that would wipe out all updates you do have installed and force you to manually install the same 2 updates I already posted :)
An ssd will improve many things but not an existing high cpu usage issue.
You're welcome to upgrade any hardware you want both were good things to do but neither will fix your high cpu issue :)
