    terrible start up times

Hello Everyone, I have just reinstalled windows as I started having problems after the November rollup
of windows updates, programs started running really slow or freezing. Now I have startup issues.
Microsoft Cabinet Maker 6.1.7600.16385-Total Time 4021ms Degradation 521ms
Console Windows Host 6.1.7600.16385-Total Time 4390 ms Degradation 890ms
Disk Space Cleanup Manager for Windows 6.1.7600.16385-Total Time 21637ms Degradation 16637ms
After the starting windows screen, I just have a grey screen for about a minute before the logon screen.
I have not installed the rollup updates, and do not intend to anymore. This pc usually starts twice as
fast as what is going on now.

Just let the system handle the windows update.

Using option 1: Automatically (Recommended), as for Time: select the time that you are always using.

I do not have any issue like yours.

Doing manual windows updates, for this it required you to understand which updates is necessary.

Option 1 is set and forget..

    very slow startup

Hello Eric, Thank you for replying. I am thinking of reinstalling again. There is an update I installed
kb3133977 that apparently is no good for asus pcs. I will post another thread on installations, and ask
the correct updates to get it started.:)

    Hi,
If your update settings are like these you'll clearly see the update is and has always been Optional
But indeed it had many people freaking out :)
Lets here it for win-7 installed with uefi
    https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3133977

After installing Microsoft Update KB3133977 for Windows 7, some users may encounter a "Secure Boot Violation" , which makes the system fail to boot into the operating system.

    slow start up

Hello again Thrashzone, I ended up re-installing windows. I had a list myself of updates i do not want in
the machine, but not as many as shown on seven forums. When I reinstalled a few days ago I obviously
pressed the wrong options for windows updates, as I only had the option for recommended updates.
I have now chosen the correct ones, and my settings are the same as yours. When I re-installed the other
day I had downloaded kb3020369 and kb3172605. I was not aware of kb3125574. Anyway everything
seems okay now, so thank you very much.:)
