Has there been any critical updates for Windows 7? At least I haven't seen anyone. But it is very rare, because they always send some critical updates in their first month, and there's been zero.

    Or, am I wrong?

No I don't think so. Of course, we have only had 1 patch Tuesday since it's release.

I have mine to automatic, they do have updates that change the version number..... I don't remember what it is but it's something higher. I'm not sure though if they were official updates or pre-releases (yeah we all know what that means).

    superjose,

One thing - if you are still running the build 7057 as shown in your system specs - there may be critical updates required for your system that were already applied in the RTM build 7600.

There was also some confusion whether the unofficial release builds actually received the updates automatically from windows update. I have read reports stating that the did and others stating that they didn't

Lol, I rarely update those status.

Jaja, I have the 7600 Builds, since a loooong time ago.

Ok, thanks for the info. But its kind of strange that Microsoft hasn't release any of critical updates, though

Not really strange at all. Microsoft releases most critical updates on Patch Tuesday...which is the 2nd Tuesday of each month. We have only had 1 patch Tuesday since Windows 7 was released. So, it's only made it through 1 patch cycle since being released.
