wouldn't really want to recommend any but if i was forced to use one then ccleaner is less likely to bork your system.

    Hi bill and welcome

We here are of two minds abt reg cleaners. Some advocate their use other avoid them like the plague. Im one of the latter. I have hosed more systems than I care to think about using reg cleaners. If my registry start getting out of hand I do a re-install from a previously saved image. I do that abt every 3months anyway.

Im sure someone will have good 64bit cleaners, just thought I would present the other side

I've been using Ace Utilities. http://www.acelogix.com/

It will create a system restore and it saves a .reg file of the registry entries that's been deleted.

    Give it a try.

I have to go with Ken. Win 7, is really a great operating system. It runs fast and is able to correct many errors. How about in lieu of registry cleaner, a compromise. Make a system image of your operating system and put it in a safe place. Hopefully, this image will be made when all of your programs are installed and running correctly. Six months from now, or whatever time period is good for, you. Use system image to go back to the time that the system was lean and mean. For any small changes that you make between the time you made the image and restore to it, you can make notes and make those changes to the restored image.

    CCleaner.

Although, I've heard some very good things about RegSeeker.

CCleaner is a great bit of software and I would recommend it. However, use at your own risk!!

Oh and always create a back up of your registry before using registry cleaners.
