    Reboot time app problem

Hello, My friend is having a problem with the reboot time app posted here. It is showing her like 86 seconds but it only take 50 secconds. The app works fine on my machine. Any ideas as to why it is not working correctly on her machine? I know that the vbs was already unblocked. Thanks for any help.

    Hello Larry,

I'm guessing that you mean this restart time app for Windows 7?

What OS (Vista or Windows 7) and edition is your friend using?

Hello Zigzag and Brink, Yes it is the restart time app. Her os is w7 home premium. The only thing different was she did not have to unblock the vbs as it was already done. She ran the app a couple of times and it kept getting better but never was correct. Thanks for the reply's!

What did it do for her instead? Do you have or can get a screenshot of what it is doing that you can post here?

Hi Brink, These are her words.

    Hey Larry,
You think you're confused,i'm even more confused. The way I was measuring my time was counting 1 mississippi,2 mississippi,etc.1 mississippi = 1 second.I know that's not scientific or anything but it's fairly accurate. Now,what's wierd is I first tried your app & it says restart is 87 seconds.I go to my event viewer & it says 44,501 milliseconds.44,501 milliseconds = just above 44 seconds. So,if I get 43 secs by counting mississippi's & my event viewer says 44 secs, then how come the app says 87 secs.Any ideas? (edit)Forgot to mention 64 bit if it matters.

    Ah, I see.

The script measures how long it takes for the computer to shutdown and restart as a total since this would be how long it take if you were to click on restart. She may be looking at how long it takes to only load the startup programs instead.

You're most welcome Larry. Sharing it is fine, while a link to the tutorial for it would be great.
